Be Still

Greetings my Beloved.

Oh! Yes! It’s getting colder every day. Many people can’t stand the cold. I suggest you dress warmly all the time and ensure that you eat and drink appropriately. Do not allow slackness to overtake you. I have observed that attendance at the gymnasium has begun to drop steadily. This is a sign of giving in to the cold. This isn't good for any individual.

In our spiritual activity we need to be alert. Many people fail to pray adequately preferring to lie in a little longer. Others absent themselves from the house of God as well. Beloved WINTER IS ALSO A SPIRITUAL THING. We must guard against anything that diminishes the potency and fervor of our Life In Christ. When winter grips the soul the consequences will be far worse than the effects of the natural winter. I urge you keep your fervency. Continue with your prayer; your devotions; your church attendance and all other spiritual assignments. Take all these things one notch higher so that you can benefit whilst others have thrown in the towel. The Lord will honor you for the sacrifices you make.

Weariness may set in but with enough commitment you can make things happen. The warmth of the Holy Spirit and the fire of His word will keep you blazing once again.

I urge you to join us for the Family Day –19 May 2013. The organizers have promised us a truly fun filled day. 

Also urge the youth both friends and family to attend on Friday 17 May. We have an eye opening presentation regarding the EVILS BEHIND THE HIP HOP CULTURE.Ps. Sidlow, Chelda and the team are working with great urgency to create a good evening. I know it will certainly be a blessed one.

WASTING VALUABLE ENERGYPsalm 46:10 (NKJV)

Be still, and know that I am God;

I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth!

This psalm begins with tumult all around, Then we are reminded that God is with us. Now the command is Be Still. This is a Hebrew word rapah. It bears the following connotations. Abstain from motion, quiet, subdued, calm muted tranquil.It has the idea of the act of ceasing from something; of leaving someone alone; of letting go; of abandoning or forsaking something.

This text has an important lesson for all of us. We must understand that biblical culture calls out to us to BE STILL.

This is a generation of people who do not understand the call. We are an argumentative, loud, boisterous “I must prove my point” generation. It is unfortunate that born again, spirit filled people(often tongue talking) will pursue an unimportant matter with fervor. In the process they lose their peace and contentment to God. They are like the little rag tag puppies that bark at everything, tear up everything, chase the motor cars and even run around trying to catch their own tails. From the outside looking in we have a very good laugh.
When you do not know How To Be Still, VALUABLE ENERGY IS LOST. You expend your energy on Battles that you should not be fighting. Useless wars and arguments leave you exhausted. Further the pressure upon you causes anger to release toxins into your blood stream and you automatically become miserable.

I urge you today LET GO, CEASE and LEAVE Certain things. Many people will argue with me and say I HAVE A RIGHT. Yes! you do.
Your right is the right in Christ. The bible says when He was persecuted He opened not his mouth. He was called a liar, cheat and an impostor. They said He was demon possessed. Christ did not defend Himself. He just went on and did what He did best. He continued to love the people. Phenomenal isn't it?

Here you are in a little corner of the world fretting and fuming about the injuries you have suffered or how your dignity has been impaired. They will soon pass. Be Still. You might say  I've been called names. I ask So What?God knows who you are. God is aware of your righteous acts. God knows your heart. He will bless you because of who you are before Him not because of man’s accolades. So my beloved Be Still. Let the enemy rant and rave. Let the rage go on. You are like a bubbling stream, calm and continually flowing without interruption.

WHY SHOULD I BE STILL? Is the question many will ask. Only when you are still God says I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in the earth.”God responds to stillness by exalting Himself in the midst of your enemies. This exaltation means HE WILL REVEAL HIS MIGHT AND POWER. This will only happen when we learn to BE STILL.

This is not an easy road. You have the pressure of kids, family, marital woes, shortage, lack and people who care less about your feelings. Trust me I've been there too. I've learnt to BE STILL.

"REST AND SAFETY IN HIM"

Beloved I greet you in Jesus name.

This is a time for us to exercise extreme faith in the living God. The world and all the chaos therein reveal to us the evil that is ingrained in man. It is only the Grace of God that can change the lives of mankind. No religion is able to do this except the Person of our Lord Jesus Christ. Man will engage in unthinkable and unimaginable acts of debauchery. The grace of our Heavenly Father is the only antidote for the evils of this present generation.

We will not be able to tell where the next devilish act might stem from. It may be from your neighborhood; it may be one of your colleagues or even from your own family. This, beloved, is the unpredictability of this present age. Therefore I say increase your faith in God.

With the increase of faith comes the power of the Almighty God. We lived in a past spiritual paradigm that taught that faith was merely for getting stuff from God. Beloved faith is more than that. It will enhance your spiritual gifts. That means in these evil days you will have supernatural discernment. God will expose the evil before it comes to you. He will also give you preparation ability before the enemy attacks. We have the Power of His Holy Spirit that guides us every day. Jesus Christ our Lord prayed for Peter that his faith should not fail. He knew that when Peter was away from Him he would become weak. It happened as Jesus predicted Peter became weak, denied Jesus Christ and also went back to his fishing business. Peter was away from the Christ and his faith failed. Today CHRIST IS IN HIS BODY the church. Your faith will be built up when YOU GATHER TOGETHER WITH THE SAINTS. We know that Faith comes by hearing the Word of The Lord. You gather in His house and the Word is dispensed your faith will be built up. When you are in the company of those who love and understand and speak His Word, YOU WILL DEFINITELY INCREASE YOUR FAITH TO STAND BEFORE THE ENEMY. If this is not your desire you will be on the run from the enemy day and night. You will seek shelter and protection and there will be none. Fear will be the order of your existence. I urge you build up YOUR faith through the Word of God.

This text speaks of the rest we must all enjoy. Lying down and having a sweet sleep are metaphors of your rest in Christ. He has ordained that for us. He is our Sabbath and the Sabbath is our rest. When we have Christ then only are we at peace and have rest. People have a false concept of when they arrive at rest and peace. Many are under the delusion that rest and peace come when your bills Are paid up; when your children begin working; when your mortgage bond is settled or motor car repayments concluded.
All these constitute the devil's biggest lies. Peace and rest will constantly elude us.Sudden Terror is exactly what the word means. All will be calm and you will suddenly be terrorized by evil. It will creep up on you. The devices of the wicked too will come secretly and subtly. It is in these circumstances that our faith in God will rise up. You do not have to stress with concern about evil activity.The Word says The Lord will be your confidence. This is the faith that bears us up. Confidence in God. This is like a man in a stormy sea unconcerned about the dangers because his God is with him; like a person with raging fires all around and Christ in the midst of that fire or like some wild animal like a lion after you and God beckoning them to back down. He also says He will keep your foot from the snare. That means you will not be taken by surprise. You will not stumble or fall. The Lord will hold you up.These are days of manifold evils and I urge you to trust in Him. He will be with you till the end of the world. Ask Him to protect your family and your possessions.
